Hellboy...again

This evening I've been testing differents programs, illustrator, photoshop and different setting brushes to achieve the best digital inking. At the end I finished working with Corel Painting and did this Hellboy.
It's has been almost three years since the last time I did a Hellboy and I get a lot of fun doing it. I have to repeat again with him.

New section where I going to do homages to comic covers I like. An excuse to play again with markers. For the first one a classic Avengers # 1 by Jack Kirby.

The Masque of the Red Death - Illustrations

Today I present you the three illustrations I did for the "The Masque of the red Death". I resolved the illustrations with a metaphoric side because I wanted to do something different than the comic adaptation.

Hoy toca las tres ilustraciones que hice para "La másacara de la muerte roja". Decidí resolver las ilustraciones con un enfoque alegórico pque quería hacer algo diferente a la adaptación en cómic.


This first one is a watercolour with indian ink and gouache. Este primero es una acuarela con tinta china y témpera.



The Second is a litographic pencil over a grey poster board. El segund es un lápiz litográfico sobre una cartulina gris.



And the third one is a collage, I did a Illustration with watercolour and then I cut it and pasted it in another grey poster board.

Y la tercera es un collage, hice la ilustración con acuarela y despues lo recorte y lo pegué en otra cartulina gris.

The Third and finale photoillustration. With them I looked for to do a homage to vintage terror posters, from 30’s Universal Pictures terror film, to 50’s B Series and finally 70’s poster style.

La tercera y última fotoilustración. Con ellas buscaba hacer un homenaje a los antiguos pósteres de terror, desde los pósteres de los años 30 de la Unviversal, a los de Serie B de los años 50 y finalmente el estilo de los pósteres de los 70.

This is the cover for Edgar Allan Poe's The Masque of the red death. In the begining I thought to do it in a silkscreen printing with two inks but at the end it couldn't be for the emulsion's lack at the Art School.
Esta es la portada para La máscara de la muerte roja de Edgar Allan Poe. En principio pensaba hacerla en una serigrafía a dos tintas pero no pudo ser por la falta de emulsión en la Escuela de Arte.

Here's the pencils for a comic-book's panel that I'm doing for the finale project. Ouch my back ache, I spent a lot of hours in the drawing table.
